How we test

Every score on this site comes from an account we opened ourselves, money we deposited ourselves and a withdrawal we timed to the minute. This page explains the method and how the six parts of the score add up.

The six steps

  1. Registration. We open the account in the country where the operator is licensed or accepts players, on a phone, with our own documents. We note how long it takes and what is asked.
  2. Deposits. Three methods where available: a card, an e-wallet and a cryptocurrency. We record the minimum, any fee and how quickly the balance appears.
  3. Odds. We compare the operator's prices with the market on the same matches, on the main football markets, tennis and one more sport, to measure the margin.
  4. Betting. Pre-match and live bets on three sports, testing cash out, bet builder and streaming where they exist.
  5. Withdrawals. One withdrawal per method, timed from the request to the money reaching us. This number moves the score more than any other.
  6. Support. A real question to live chat and one by email, in the local language, with the answer time and its quality noted.

How the score is built

Each review shows six part scores out of ten: odds, markets, payments, bonus, app and support. Payments and odds weigh most; the bonus weighs least, because a bonus is worth little if the money is slow to come back. The overall score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal.

What the score is not

It is not a measure of how much an operator pays us. Affiliate commissions differ from one operator to another and never enter the calculation. Sponsored boxes are labelled and sit outside the ranking.

When scores change

We repeat the withdrawal test when an operator changes its payment page, its terms or its licence, and we re-check prices when readers report a change. A score can go up as well as down.
